Product Description
When you introduce statistical terms, sometimes kids' eyes glaze over. Mean, median, and mode sound alike, so how can you help you students differentiate these terms? This worksheet focuses on "the mean" and it shows how the mean is the same as the "fair share".

Help your students visualize how the mean is the "fair share" or "balance point" of a data set. Your students can rearrange these models to gain a firm understanding of what the "mean" means! Simply cross off the items in the large stacks, and redraw them to balance out the shorter stacks. Students will rearrange pictures of acorns, stamps, dollar bills, trophies, and more!

This is not a full-fledged lesson, but it's a great way to introduce the topic together (I like to display it on my Smartboard while my students follow along), or a follow up after the lesson for homework.

Check out the rest of the items in my discounted Mean, Median, Mode Bundle! Thanks!
