Through a series of progressive, scaffolded worksheets students practice identifying angles by name, classifying angles as acute, right, and obtuse, and finally measuring angles with a protractor. When measuring angles, students are cued to answer questions about the angle in order to read the correct numbers on the protractor. The worksheets have problems in which an image of a protractor is already placed on the angle so the students have multiple opportunities just to practice reading a protractor already in place over the angle. By the end of the series of worksheets students are measuring angles with an actual protractor.
