Students of many different ages can use this chart to successfully convert between customary and metric measurements of the same type (for example between tablespoons and quarts, and between kilometers and centimeters). At our school, this chart is used very successfully with all students in grades four through six. It allows students to have all the conversion information in one place, and in a visual way, gives them a shortcut to make those conversions.
We have also created two conversion songs, one for customary volume, and one for customary linear measurements. (These can be purchased in audio format on our TpT store.) When our students memorize those songs and this chart, as well as understand what the measurements represent in real life, they consistently do very well on almost all types of conversion assessment questions.
If you have already purchased the linear or volume conversion songs, you already have parts of this chart. In addition to what you already have, this chart adds customary weight/mass and metric volume, linear, and weight/mass conversions. No songs or audio files are included in this product.
