Measurement Conversions Enrichment: This measurement project was created to extend measurement conversion understanding and connect measurement conversions to real-life. Many of the problems are multi-step and challenging to promote higher level thinking and deep understanding!
Measurement Project + Enrichment Options:
Two versions are included for easy differentiation!
-Version 1 is easier, so it is best for fourth graders and struggling fifth graders (8 pages)
-Version 2 is more challenging, so it is best for fifth graders and advanced fourth graders (10 pages)
Students will solve problems and make decisions to improve the circus. Then, choose exciting measurements, like the height of the tightrope and the speed of the human cannonball, to design an advertisement to attract more visitors to the circus!
This measurement conversions project can be split into pieces or used as a whole (for review or as an authentic assessment). The project is composed of several higher level questions that will get students thinking and help them develop a better understanding of measurement conversions.
Answer keys included for questions in which answers do not vary.
