18 different exit slips based on measuring and comparing objects. Great for first grade standards: 1.MD.A.1 and 1.MD.A.2.
In the 18 exit slips students are asked to:
-order objects from shortest to tallest
-order objects from tallest to shortest
-find the item that is the shortest
-find the item that is the longest
-decide whether someone measured correctly and explain their reasoning: answers include: no because they put spaces between their cubes, yes, because they measured from top to bottom with no spaces between their cubes, no because they did not start at the beginning of the ruler, yes because they did start at the beginning of the ruler.
-measure the object with cubes (must have cubes to complete these slips)
-write how many cubes long the object is based on the cubes shown
-write a sentence comparing the two objects given
-circle the true sentences that are comparing the lengths of the lines
