The Measurement Mania Packet allows students to learn how to use a ruler in a fun and interactive way! The packet first covers how to read a ruler to the nearest whole inch, half inch, and quarter of an inch. The students will 3 different rulers- one for whole inches, one for half inches, and one for quarter inches. Then, they will do some practice problems measuring line segments.
THE FUN PART COMES NEXT!
Students work with a partner to measure different things. An example problem is shown below:
Hold your arms directly out to the side. You will be standing like a letter t. Have a friend measure how long your arm span is from fingertip to fingertip. They will need to measure across you back.

Students work to complete 8 problems like the ones shown above! My students love this fun packet as it keeps them actively engaged while they practice measuring!
