This is a great way to integrate art into your math lesson when introducing liquid equivalencies from cup to gallon. How many cups are in a gallon? Pints? Quarts? Half gallons? When students assemble this "measurement mosaic" they will be able to look at their masterpiece and tell you!
Please also see "Measurement Mosaic: Liquid Equivalencies Instructions/ Worksheet" for instructions and follow-up questions for students to answer using their mosaic.
You can glue part of the worksheet on the back of the mosaic so students can remember the equivalencies. You can laminate these pieces and have students use them over and over again to work with equivalencies.
