★ ★ ★ What You Get ★ ★ ★

When you purchase and download this product, you receive an interactive math notebook packet that covers all of the standards in the Measurement and Data domain in the 4th Grade Common Core Math Standards.

It includes 29 interactive pages. Each page contains an “I can” statement card and supporting interactive questions that students cut out and paste into their notebooks.

The “I can” statement card is based on a specific Common Core standard. The card also provides any necessary definitions and examples.

For your convenience, this purchase includes both gray scale and black and white versions, so you can choose which fits your needs!

★ ★ ★ How It Works ★ ★ ★

You do not need to reinvent the wheel every time you create a new page in your interactive notebook: it’s just one page and the same directions every time.

You only need to print one page for each interactive notebook page activity. Students also only have one page to deal with.

The card and the questions will all fit on one standard notebook page, too.

The directions are universal for all of the interactive pages: students cut along the dotted line and fold along the solid line.

Once you have the routine established, you and your students can create an interactive notebook page in a very short and manageable amount of time. You can easily fit it into your daily math lesson.

You could also use it as a consistent math center activity throughout the year!

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
