Learning how to measure begins with using nonstandard units of measurement. This can be anything from cubes to paper clips to paper plates. So how about jelly beans? Jelly beans work great!
This product includes jelly bean 'rulers' that can be printed, laminated and cut for each student. Students then use the jelly bean rulers to measure the height and width of 7 different Spring themed pictures. The accompanying recording sheet allows you to check their work.
Also included is an individual practice sheet. Students cut a jelly bean ruler off the side of their paper and use it to measure 5 more Spring themed pictures. Students will record their measurements under the picture.
The 17 page document includes one cover page, one page of directions, one page with jelly bean rulers, five pages of images to measure, four student pages and four pages of answer keys and one final information page.
