Students will have many opportunities to practice their measurement skills with these different activities. They will explore many tools used to measure objects, select the appropriate tool, and then measure objects with that tool.
Some activities will ask students to identify what tool they would use to measure an item. Other activities allow students to
measure items around the room using the tool of their choice. There are activities that will tell students what to measure, such as their own arm or leg, using both inches and centimeters. They will even get the chance to work with a partner and measure each other.
What a fun way to explore measurement! Make sure you have access to these different measurement tools as students need hands-on practice and concrete objects to strengthen their skills!
