This worksheet is a "hands-on" activity to make sure students understand the difference between the area of a polygon and its perimeter. I often find in my algebra classes that students have erroneously determined that "for area, you multiply, and for perimeter, you add", and this worksheet seems to help them in breaking those preconceptions. This worksheet includes an area and perimeter reference sheet, which summarizes the formulas for a variety of shapes. It also includes some spiral review problems.
The preview file is a pdf so you may see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may edit for your students.
