Students estimate and measure the capacity of different items around the room. Item to be measured can be customized.
Students can work alone or in groups to complete the activity. This could be used as a math center as well.
Directions state: "When measuring the capacity of these items what would you use: a cup, pint, quart, half-gallon, gallon, or liter?
Estimate how many of each you think will fit in the item. Decide which would be the best measure and circle the unit. Find the actual amount of the selected unit that actually fills the item."
