Product Description
This Smart Notebook lesson introduces students to both US Customary and Metric units of capacity. The first half is US Customary (cups, pints, quarts, and gallons), and the second half is Metric (mL and L). In both sections, students are shown examples of each measuring unit, and then they get to sort objects based on which unit would be best to measure them with. Finally, students practice making conversions between different amounts. This can easily be split into 2 days, spending one day on US Customary, and the second on Metric. Each could be a 15-20 minute mini-lesson.
