A practical resource that hones student measurement skills using the metric system. Students are provided with distances (in centimeters) and directions (N,S,W,E) and measure out the corresponding lines. The lines are connected to find the ending location. Answer keys are provided. The packet contains the resources below:
1. Two metric treasure hunt pages. One uses even-centimeters (2.0, 3.0, ect)
while the other includes decimals (4.6, 7.3 cm). This allows you to differentiate
2. One map of the US with 10 steps to find the end location
3. One world map with 10 steps to find the end location
4. Two pages where students measure objects placed next to a centimeter ruler.
They must also convert centimeters to millimeters.
