How many of you know that most students do not like writing about their holidays or vacations? .
It took our own children, who we have both taught in the past, to point out how much they HATE this activity..
So it was time for us to come up with some new and engaging ideas!
The resulting resource can be used as an individual record or put together to create a class account. Perfect for a back to school display.
As some units of measurement differ between Australia and America, where required, we have included two different options.
Please take this into consideration when printing.
Also note that there are both coloured and black and white options for some of the work sheets. We found that the coloured options were great to use for display purposes, but they could also be used to add colour to individual books if your school does not have a printing budget!
Please find enclosed 51 pages jam packed with measurement ideas:
How long your holiday/vacation was - days, weeks, months, hours, minutes, seconds
How many books you read - length in metres, inches
How many ice creams you ate - cups, grams and kilograms,
How far you swam - time and distance in yards and kilometres
The distance you travelled - kilometres and miles
How much fruit you consumed - weight
