An easy and simple (yet fun!) way for students to practice reading Celsius and Fahrenheit on a thermometer.
Experiment set up:
Cup 1 set: Cold water
Cup 2 set: Hot water (we used a heat lamp to keep warm)
Cup 3 set: Room temperature water
Allow students to take the temperature of each cup of water (3 trials each) then trade out their cups so that you know where each group is during the experiment.
One fun option is to not tell students what each cup is (cold, hot, room temp) and have them guess!
This is such an easy experiment, but the kids have so much fun with it!
