Product Description
In this activity, students will work cooperatively to practice measuring skills as well as collecting, sorting, tallying, graphing, and analyzing data, all while being being actively engaged in the process.

Students will work in groups to leap like a frog and measure the length of the leaps. Each student will jump twice and then choose his/her best jump. After all students have jumped, the class will come together to tally, graph, and analyze the data.

This lesson includes materials to help students work cooperatively in their groups: name labels and a flow chart to keep track of each student's job and individual cards for students to keep track of the jump lengths.

Other materials in this lesson include: a tally chart, a graphing and data analysis sheet, and an extra practice sheet that could be used in class or as homework.

2.MD.D.10 Draw a picture graph and a bar graph (with a single-scale) to represent a data set with up to four categories. Solve simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems using information presented in a bar graph.
