Description
These digital task cards for ruler measurement & line plots are distance learning friendly and require no prep and no paper! All you need is a device, a free Google account and access to the internet. Students type their answers directly on the slides in the provided text boxes. A bonus self-grading Google Forms™ assessment is also included.
To see the task cards up close, please download the preview. You can also check out my original printable version of these task cards (with buyer ratings) HERE.
This set includes 32 task cards for which students must measure lines to the nearest half inch and quarter inch. After finding all of the ruler measurements, there are 4 additional slides for which students will complete line plots (from their data) and answer 4 challenging questions that go along with each line plot. The horizontal scales are marked off for them so they simply need to drag the x’s to plot their measurement data. If your students are not ready for line plots yet, the task cards can function independently without the line plot activity. Simply delete the last 4 slides. (I included a printable version of the 4 line plot slides in case you’d prefer your students to plot them on paper and turn them in.) These task cards are aligned to the Common Core State Standards 3.MD.4 and 4.MD.4.
