This is a cut and paste activity I use after beginning our waves unit - GREAT for kinesthetic learners!
Students cut and sort the 28 descriptions and examples of waves to create a graphic organizer. A graphic organizer idea is included at the top of the sheet or you adapt this to fit another type of graphic organizer like a Venn diagram.
I use this activity as part of an interactive notebook. It helps with my average and below average learners to practice wave types and characteristics. This could serve as a formative assessment.
