Have your students learn about media bias firsthand. Want students who critically think and analyze the news? Want an easy way to show kids the difference between liberal and conservative?

This assignment is designed to have students watch TV shows from different networks on the same day and compare the media bias. Additionally, students must read articles about the same subject matter from different ideological sites and compare and contrast media bias. The difference between conservative networks and a liberal networks becomes very evident with a little bit of coaching from their teacher. I use this assignment weekly and the first couple times I model to the classroom what to look for.
