In a broadcast presentation format the students will research and explore the economic foundation of Facebook and consider the special interests of the owner/s of Facebook. They will analyze how advertising is enmeshed and personalized in Facebook. The assignment is divided into three steps: Gather information, Plan, Organize and Practice, Present Ideas and Discuss. In all three sections the students are given questions to ask as a group and individually. This is a fun culminating activity at the end of a media unit. It can also be adapted to suit research and presentation for other social websites.
