Product Description
Fahrenheit 451 is not so much about book banning as it is about the effect of mass popular media on Western society. It portrays the gradual decay of humanist values and practices that results when we allow popular culture to dominate social, familial, and personal time. It is more relevant now than ever before and its dystopian setting makes it of interest to current young adult novel enthusiasts.

The package includes a summative assignment -- a focused book report --with instructions for students to analyze the novel considering the impact of media on plot, character, theme, setting, and language. We use it as a independent novel study, but it could also be a unit ending activity or a summative assignment
