This FILLABLE PDF graphic organizer for student research (created by Miss Winning's Classroom) is meant to help students 'explore' the different 'aspects' that make up a complex society or 'civilization'. It can be used at the beginning of the year or at the beginning of a unit of study on ANY medieval civilization.
PLEASE NOTE: This graphic organizer is ALMOST IDENTICAL to another resource in my store with slightly different instructions to guide students studying ANCIENT civilizations:
Ancient Civilizations 'Snapshots' Graphic Organizer - Aspects of Civilization
It is highly recommended to use a copy machine to ENLARGE this sheet onto 11x17 paper (or similar size). This will give students more room for writing. If you only want them to just have a very brief snapshot/overview of the concepts (for example as a quick 'opener' or introductory activity) and they are older students who can print neatly in small spaces, you could just print the sheet in it's original 'letter' size.
Specific instructions are given for the students right on the sheet, directing them to take note of the many connections that exist between the various 'aspects' of a single civilization.
An optional ASSESSMENT TOOL for this assignment can be found here in my store:
General or Universal Assessment Rubric for Any Assignment or Activity
PLEASE remember to help me out by RATING and PROVIDING FEEDBACK! Thanks and Happy Teaching and Learning!
