In this exciting activity packet for the Middle Ages and Medieval History, we delve into the Guilds and how they worked. After reading our helpful Medieval Guilds Info Sheet, Students are ready for our Medieval Trades Activity, where they choose a trade and complete an Activity to prove to their Guild that they can create a "Masterpiece" of their trade, thereby gaining the title, "Master Craftsman".

Having completed their Masterpiece, the students are then ready to put out their sign, showcasing their "Tools of the Trade" to an illiterate clientele. Meaning, they design a sign (Using one of our sign sheets) without words so that all who can tell their trade, even those who cannot read.

Also included in this packet is a bonus lesson on how to create a Medieval Subtlety from Marzipan, one of the few delicacies of the era. To view this packet and the included lessons in more detail, please check out our Blog Post called Making a Masterpiece for Medieval Guilds.
