Product Description
This is an amazing resource for fourth through eighth graders. It is similar to clock buddies and is a great way to allow students to work with different students of their choosing throughout the year. Teachers should demonstrate how to do this activity. Students will go around and ask someone if they want to be their buddy (Example: Josh, do you want to be my Georgia Buddy?) and Josh would then write that student's name down on their sheet under Georgia and they would write Josh's name down on Georgia. They would continue this until their entire paper was filled. Then, teachers can give instructions on an activity or assignments and say, this time we will work with our Georgia buddies. Students will pull out their Meet Me At Buddies sheet and work with that student.

My students loved this resource (even my 8th graders) because they got some choice in who they got to work with.

*I always make my boys choose at least 3 girl buddies and the girls choose at least 3 boy buddies.
*I also say that you can't say no if someone comes up to you asking to be your buddy (unless, of course, they don't have the same empty buddy spots)
*Students can only have the same buddy one time on their charts
*If you have an uneven amount of students, you might have to do groups of three
