Do you have the opportunity to meet your students before your school year begins?
Sometimes teachers meet their students for the next year during their last days of school before summer break. These experiences help alleviate some worry and anxiety students may have about meeting a new teacher. After the teacher and students have met, and talked together, students may complete the meet the teacher page as a compilation activity. They write the teacher's name, how they are feeling about moving on to the next grade, and something they are excited to do in that grade level. This activity helps provide discussion both during the activity, as well as when the student takes the paper home to show their parents.
Included in this pack are pages for kindergarten, first, and second grade. There are also dashed and single writing lines, as well as female and male options for each grade. I hope this activity is helpful as you meet your new class!
Please note, while there are many options for male/female teachers and grade levels, the teacher will need one of the pages that best suits their situation.
