This PowerPoint file is a wonderful presentation about the process of meiosis, which is the cellular division that reduces the chromosome number of a species by one-half (thus creating sperm and egg cells). The PowerPoint begins with a brief overview of the cells created by meiosis and then proceeds into the various stages of Meiosis I and Meiosis II. The pictures used are in the “public domain” so there is no worry of copyright violation. At the end is a quick practice quiz for your students to try if you wish to check for understanding.
I have also included a “fill-in-the-blank” style worksheet to accompany these notes for you to distribute to your students if you wish.
You can view this entire PowerPoint on my YouTube page prior to purchase. This way you can see exactly what is included in the PowerPoint. However, if you purchase this product the PowerPoint will not be narrated.
