What educators are saying

This was used as a reinforcement after spending a few days on Meiosis. The students liked that the chromosomes were already drawn in and they didn't have to think about it.
I really liked this resource, it allowed students to get a good understanding of meiosis and how it's different from mitosis. I will be using this again!

Description

This activity bundle includes 5 different elements that your students can use to learn about meiosis. It includes a reading, question pages, coloring/labeling diagrams, cut-and-paste activities, chromosome drawing activities, and more! Meiosis I and Meiosis II versions are included.

I strongly suggest using my FREE Chromosome Structure Reading/Diagram Page activity and my Mitosis Diagram Activities before this activity.

You might also like my 12 homework page bundle for the cell division unit.

Unique Features of this Activity Pack:

In all diagrams, I represent the whole chromosome (both arms) as a straight rounded shape, instead of the normally bent “X” shaped chromosomes. This really helps students to understand what the chromatid actually is and what separates during mitosis. So often students confuse “chromosome arm” with “chromatid”. Each chromatid has 2 chromosome arms, which is why I draw the chromosomes in these diagrams the way I do.

These activities are also available in a money saving bundle!
