PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This fun melody game is perfect for back-to-school review. Students will stay engaged as they practice the melodic concept low la.

In this game, students will piece together pencils that have split in two. They must match up stick notation with solfege to melodic patterns in the music staff.

Included in this set:
1. Directions for Use: You will want to print and cut out any manipulatives that you use. Two pencils are shown on each page.

2. 12 pencils in a variety of styles. Use the style that you prefer:

---Colored pencils showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. A do clef is given for the staff notation. The colors (yellow, green, and blue) help to limit the choices for your students--perfect for differentiation.

---Black and White pencils showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. A do clef is given for the staff notation.

---Colored pencils showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. The first pitch is given for the staff notation. The colors (yellow, green, and blue) help to limit the choices for your students--perfect for differentiation.

---Black and White pencils showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. The first pitch is given for the staff notation.

--All of the options above are given using standard notation (rhythm with noteheads) in addition to stick notation.

3. Pencil Puzzlers Match-Up Worksheet: Your students will match up split pencils in stick notation with solfege to the correct staff notation pattern. Two versions are given: (1) a do-clef is used and (2) the first pitch is shown and no clef is used.

4. Pencil Puzzlers Writing Worksheet: Your students will be shown the stick notation pattern in each pencil. Their job will be to transfer the patterns into the music staff. Two versions are given: (1) a do-clef is used and (2) the first pitch is shown and no clef is used.
