The teacher keeps the cards in her hand, the students say the word on the card, when they get a word right they get to pick a piece to build the snowman. When they complete the snowman. They win! But if they get the card melt, you have to start over from the beginning building the snowman.
*You can also play the game as a rapid pace game without the snowman pieces, the teacher starts with the cards in her hand and the students get to keep the cards they get correct in their hand. You can just have the students yell “melt! “when the melt card appears or you can start the game over when the “melt” card appears.
Use the sight word cards as a center. The cards are face down and the pick a card randomly. The student writes the word then uses it in a sentence.
Use the snowman pages. The students can build their own snowman and then they have use brave spelling to write what their snowman has.
The students will follow the directions and color the words based on the direction
