Speech Boxes are activities formatted for the boxes available at Michaels that contain 16 smaller boxes. These activities can also be stored in 6x9 brown envelopes or any other way you would like to store them. Each “box” contains a speech/language activity. There is a title card for the front of the box or envelope and directions. I use double-sided tape to adhere them.
“Melted” is for understanding and producing irregular verbs. The cover sheet for the box/envelope and the directions are on page 3. On page 4, print a copy of the “cheat” sheet and the ice cream cone FOR EACH STUDENT.
Print, laminate, and cut out the word cards, the melted cards, and the cherry cards. Shuffle together. Students take turns drawing a card and using the “cheat” sheet, say “Today I __________. Yesterday I _________. If they are correct, they can stack their card on the ice cream cone. If they draw a “melted” card, they lose one scoop. Each student must draw a cherry for the top. The student with the most ice cream scoops AND a cherry for the top is the winner.
