Product Description
This packet is a complete lesson plan centered around melting matter (ice) using various household materials. I do this lesson with my kindergarteners, but it could certainly be appropriate for older students, given the many options provided in the packet.

Inside are 48 usable pages (this excludes the title page, table of contents, terms of use, and credits pages) for you. I

Included are:
- 7 pages of notes to help make this lesson go as smoothly as possible
- 6 pages of detailed lesson plans
- 1 page of related literature suggestions
- 16 pages of {mostly} uneditable display pages (there are things you can edit on many of them, but the entire page is not editable)
- 6 pages of fully editable display pages
- 12 pages of recording sheet options {most are editable in some way}

This packet gives you lots and lots of options! You decide if you want groups of 4 or 5 {this determines which materials you use}, how you want to graph predictions, which slides to display as prompts for your students, and which recording sheet you'd like students to use.

There are no required materials since you are able to fully edit the lesson. However, suggested materials include:
- ice cubes
- salt
- pepper
- cinnamon
- sugar
- teaspoons
- small cups or bowls as ice containers {I use dressing cups -- found here: http://bit.ly/AmazonDressingContainers}
- small plastic cups {I use bathroom cups -- found here: http://bit.ly/Plastic3ozCups}
- permanent marker

This product will download as a Microsoft PowerPoint file; please make sure you have access to that program prior to purchase.

Please note that many pages are editable -- some fully editable and some partially -- but the graphics in this packet have been "locked down" in order to abide by the graphic artists' terms of use. This means that you'll be able to add text and edit the boxes that say "edit me!" but will not be able to edit or delete portions of the graphics. Thank you for your understanding!
