Finding and/or creating sample technology enhanced items can be challenging for teachers, yet it's imperative that students receive ample practice. This exercise may either be used as part of a formal assessment or as a review. It pairs the poem "In Flanders Fields" with the article, "Why We Celebrate Memorial Day." The first two questions relate to the article (using context clues and making inferences), while the next two (analyzing tone and making inferences) correspond with the poem. The fifth question asks students to use an H-chart to compare and contrast both texts.
