This game is a powerpoint game designed for use on the smart board. One of the areas the kids with various learning disabilities struggle with is short term memory. Memory cards works on this skill. The more sensory input we provide to the learner, the more likely they are to retain the information. For example, in this game, we give the learner a visual cue with the colors and words on the smart board screen. We provide an auditory cue when we read
aloud the cards in the order we want them to re-assemble them. We provide a tactile cue when we have them find the cards and touch them on the screen and when we move to the next page and have them re-assemble the cards in the correct order. We also work on kinesthetics when we ask them to go to the smart board and manipulate the cards into the correct order.
