2. Types of Memory
a. Comparing types of memory (short term, long term, and working memory) to a desk and filing cabinet. Students are provided different memory scenarios, and must write the numbers of the scenario next to the type of memory needed in the scenario.
3. Journal Reflections
a. Self-reflection questions that students answer based on their experiences with memory. You can have students do one reflection per day, or assign them to select a few of their choice.
4. Memorization Techniques – Acronym and Acrostics
a. Explanation of these two techniques, with accompanying practice questions.
5. Memorization Technique – Linking
a. Explanation of this technique, with accompanying practice questions.
6. Think Dots
a. A final task to summarize this unit. Students roll a dice to select a memory technique and then roll it again to select information to place into the technique. Works as a great group assignment.
