PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Recalling events can sometimes lead to misremembering the actual facts. Unreliable narrators occur, not only in literature but also in everyone's lives. This lesson plan by High 5 Achievers, aligned to the Common Core State Standards, explores this phenomenon by using a chapter from the The Things They Carried as a catalyst for the students to examine an event from their own lives which may have been exaggerated through the prism of time. An example of an unreliable narration will serve as a jumping off point for students.
