Product Description

This is a 34 -slide power point conversation presentation in editable PPT format with two work papers.
We’re reading a lot about machines taking over the job market lately.
it’s a scary concept from a personal point of view, but an intriguing one from a conversational point of view.
We all wonder what the future would look like if machines were to take over, here’s a chance for you and your students to discuss It.

This lesson includes:
• What is “The Luddite fallacy”?
• How have jobs improved?
• how does a line work?
• Which occupations were eliminated by machines so far?
• Which industries are already automated?
• Which working groups are at risk?
• What type of jobs run the biggest risk of being automated?
• What type of jobs are safe from being automated?
• Why are the machines today different to the machines of the past?
• What other factors have an impact on the job market?
• Are we headed toward a future without jobs?
• What will this future look like?

I have used this successfully with advanced business, advanced and intermediate English ESL adult classes.
Although created with ESL adult conversation groups and Business English ESL students in mind, this lesson is also great for English speaking high schoolers who are on their way to enter the job market.

I hope you enjoy this lesson

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BUYING THIS PRODUCT, PLEASE READ THIS:

The products in this shop are all produces by a dyslexic teacher (hence the name).
I’m painfully aware of the contradiction in my choice of profession, but I can honestly say (after 25 years of teaching ESL classes) that there’s nothing I’d rather be doing.
Much like other challenged individuals who go through life with one hand tied behind their backs, I make up for what I lack with abundant research, high quality graphics, humor, passion and love.
I own every ‘correcting program’ available on the market and my lessons are proof read by wonderful, kind (and slightly horrified) TPT teachers, BUT there are always some errors that slip by us.
If you feel offended by the existence of errors in what is supposed to be a teaching tool…
THEN THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU!
If you are an open minded individual, that can except the possibility that you might find errors in the product that you are about to buy (you get a free product if you send me the errors to correct), then this product is for you and I hope it delivers everything you hoped for and more, along with my gratitude.
