Product Description

Here's a fun game, easy to differentiate, for practicing adding tens and hundreds using mental math!

There are three different kinds of cards, each with 36 addition and 36 subtraction cards. There are 36 two digit addition and 36 two digit subtraction. There are 36 three digit addition and 36 three digit subtraction. Plus, there are 36 three digit plus two digit and 36 three digit minus two digit numbers.

There is also a set of Brain Breaks to shuffle in with the other cards, to bring oxygen to the brain and keep things fun!

If you make a few game boards, you could differentiate within your classroom with this game. Different children can play together using different sets of cards.

• The first set (yellow borders) is two digits, plus or minus tens.

• The second set (green borders) is three digits, plus or minus hundreds.

• The third set (teal borders) is three digits, plus or minus tens.

Now with brain breaks for more fun and valuable learning!

Children can play with one set at a time, or combine more than one set for a rigorous game to practice Mental Math.

This activity supports this Common Core Standard: CCSS.Math.Content.2.NBT.B.8 Mentally add 10 or 100 to a given number 100–900, and mentally subtract 10 or 100 from a given number 100–900.
