I have been using the concept behind this product for so many years, you could say it’s tried and true! With a bit of an updated look, they are serve well to teach the 4 kinds of sentences. I find them especially useful to label the mentor sentence we’re working with for the week. Kids reference the catchy pictures with names and, if you choose, the appropriate punctuation. They can be printed with frames to provide a more consistent shape or without to create your own shape which can be mounted on colored cardstock for extra durability. Like the companion product, Types of Sentences (simple, compound, and complex), I put magnetic strips on the backs, and then, when we are making our mentor sentence observations, we determine the kind of sentence which is displayed on the magnetic whiteboard easel along with the written sentence.
There are 4 versions: with and without frames, each with and without punctuation clues. I hope your class enjoys them as much as mine! :)
