Description

Start off your middle school ELA class period with a quick and easy practice/review of key grammar and reading skills with the help of a model mentor sentence.

In the full version, students read an included text and focus on just one sentence per week. Then each day of the week, students are asked one question about that sentence. This FREE SAMPLE will give you a text and a week's worth of questions to try out with your own class!

Designed to take only a few minutes per day, you can give your students practice with important skills and still have plenty of time for deeper reading and writing lessons!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Emily MacWhinnie said, "Started using these as bellwork this week. I know it is only day 2, but so awesome! I should have started using earlier. Thank you!" - Perseverance Bell-Ringers

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Leila P. said, "Perfect timing and so very appropriate for the month of October. My students are having a blast and I can focus my energy on another task. These materials really are ready-to-use." - Halloween Bell-Ringers

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Willing Pencil said "I am so excited to implement these mentor sentences! I've always loved the idea of mentor sentences but struggled with how studying a totally different sentence each week seemed so out-of-context. I love that these sentences come from the texts provided! Much more manageable!" - Mentor Sentence Year Long Bundle
