Mentor Sentences Grammar Notebook includes nine weeks of grammar instruction and all the tools you'll need to make it stick! These tools have made a difference in my students' writing! I know they'll make a difference in yours! By bridging the grammatical skills in context to revision and editing in a testing format, students will learn what's important about grammar instruction as well as how to apply it in a variety of contexts.
This is the fourth product in the series. The sentences and skill work in this product rely on students' understanding of lessons taught in the first three nine weeks' units. It is recommended that you begin with the first nine weeks unit (a focus on grammar)
and then move on to the 2nd, a focus on punctuation and capitalization

Day One: Sentence strips to cut and glue into a notebook
Day Two: Grammar hunt tables to cut and glue into a notebook
Day Three: Word/phrase cards to cut out and manipulate, and a handout to practice the skill (with answer key included)
Day Four: Dictation - what do we check for?
Day Five: Sample sentences to use as models and either a 3-5 question quiz (week one) or a try-it so students can apply the figurative language in their own writing (weeks 2-9)
