Product Description
While students fall in love with reading The Hunger Games, show them how grammar is a natural part of reading. This is a FREEBIE for a larger download in my Mentor Sentences in The Hunger Games series.

I have taken sentences from Chapter 1 of the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and highlighted words to identify. Students must identify each highlighted word as a noun, pronoun, adjective, adverb, verb, preposition, or conjunction. (Interjection is not covered).

An additional page focuses on a paragraph from the chapter. Students will answer questions about the sentences structure and punctuation choice.

If it works well with your students, check out mentor sentences that cover grammar concepts with Mentor Sentences for The Hunger Games.
