Students are to read a model for writing. They generate a list for possible ideas. Create a brainstorm for their brainstorm, and write a one page memoir. Then they script it. Leading up to infusing purposeful dialogue into their narrative writing. The lesson is broken down in small chunks if you need it that way, making it accessible to all levels of learners and differentiation is built into the lesson.
A Teacher Model is provided for every step of the way. (Although the CCSS are included for 7th grade, this lesson is easily applicable to 5th, 6th and 8th grade standards as well.)
