Students are given a brochure to create their own menu. Students are given the opportunity to create a restaurant, decide on appetizers, main courses, drinks, etc for their restaurant. They will include prices, and there are areas for illustrations of menu items, and even a page for them to create some puzzles for kids to do while they wait. Once completed with the menu, the students fill out 10 questions using the menu they created. This is a great extension especially for the addition/subtraction standards or any money standards. If you laminate the menus, and put the questions in sheet protectors, early finishers can answer questions about each other's menus.
