There is no better way to end summer than with a BBQ! This 42 page math packet includes menus, order forms, receipts, cut-outs of food items to Create a Plate (after problem solving of course) and math problems all focused around an End of Summer BBQ. All of these items all for easy modification to differentiate for different levels of learners across grade levels! Students will love getting to plan and solve problems and create a fun summer BBQ place-mat full of their favorite summer foods.
Packet contents include:
5 differentiated menus for various levels of difficulty (even dollars, dollars and $0.50, dollars and multiples of $0.25, multiples of $0.25 and nines in the one cent place, and blank).
3 Summer BBQ blank order forms/receipts for calculating total costs of items and total costs of orders (each order form has different number of rows to accommodate level difficulties).
1 Summer BBQ receipt/order form that includes all the categories of food and items to fill in for quantity and total cost of a BBQ for multiple people (you could assign students to solve for the whole class)!
1 Summer BBQ requirement form for students to know how many different types of items they need to include when planning their BBQ
4 types of personal meal receipts(There are four on a page that students can add family members or friends names to create and calculate the cost of their meals. As a teacher you can set max amounts they can spend to make it more challenging.)
2 pages of math problems.
