This activity allows students to practice various skills dealing with probability including:
- drawing a tree diagram and listing outcomes
-using probability to make predictions
- solsing single event probabilty problems
the students will be able to select one out of the 3 possible appitizer activities which all deal with drawing a tree diagram and listing the sample space.
The students will have to complete the main dish and represent their findings in a form of a newspaper article or poster. The activity requires them to use information to make a prediction.
The students will have to complete two side dish activities that require them to write 5 single event probability problems based on their selection (i.e. using dice, spinner, cards, ect)
The students will have to complete one dessert dish in which they have to make predictions based on their findings in the side dish section.
