This product aids in descriptive writing. A menu template is presented to the student. The student will then create and describe a starter, main course and a desert.
Included in this product is a document entitled '30 Alternative Ways of Saying 'Good''. This is a very useful scaffold in the descriptive writing process.
The class are encouraged to think of their favourite starter, main course and dessert. Using the templates provided they will write a short descriptive piece on each dish. They will first draft this and they transcribe this onto the menu template.
This task can be completed by the entire class, all menus can be collected and the teacher can then bind these together creating a comprehensive menu. This can then be placed in the classroom library.
