This activity is a fun way for students to discover important geographical aspects to ancient Mesopotamia! Students go on a “scavenger hunt” to label all 10 places on their map of the Mesopotamian region.
How to Use:
Print out a blank map for each student. Print out all 10 activity cards for the 10 different places on the map. I suggest laminating the cards for longevity.
Post the 10 activity cards around your classroom. Each card corresponds to one of the 10 places on the map. A brief overview of the area is given on the card along with directions on how to color it.
Have the students go around to the different cards around the room as a “scavenger hunt” to learn about all 10 places on their map. You can have students travel with their art supplies or have the materials ready at each card station.
When everyone is all done, you can review their findings. A teacher copy/completed map is provided.
Please use this however you see fit for your students!
