Next it looks at the four main governments to inhabit this region, explores the invention of writing, and takes a peek at the advancements made through math, astronomy, medicine, and technology. Finally, the religion and culture of the Mesopotamian people is the focus, before wrapping up with Hammurabi’s Code. Each lesson takes 1-3 days to cover, making this a comprehensive unit which includes multiple foldable crafts, cloze notes, maps, and lots of opportunities for writing and creative expression.
