This self-evaluation and goal-setting document focuses on helping student build personal qualities that lead to their development as a successful learners and global citizens. Dr. Arthur L. Costa and Dr. Bena Kallick (2000) developed a set of behaviors that successful human beings demonstrate when faced with challenges and new situations; they called these “Habits of Mind.” Further, Dr. Maurice J. Elias (2013) recommends that students set goals around the virtues they value relating to those mindsets. To support your growth, students write personal goals that they can come back to at the end of each unit.
